L.A. Bowen Insurance has been a family owned and operated business since 1961, with its founder Al Bowen. Al's son, Layne, began working for the agency in 1986. In 1996 Layne purchased his dads share of the agency. In 2004 a new state of the art office building was built to better service the needs of our clients and to allow for long term continued growth. From 1961 to 2007 the agency was part of the Leavitt Group and was known as Bowen & Leavitt Insurance Agency. In 2007 Layne purchased the Leavitt Groups shares of ownership in the agency and became 100% owner and had the name changed to L. A. Bowen Insurance Agency, Inc. (The name L. A. Bowen was chosen to pay tribute to Layne's father, whose initials are L.A.). Layne purchased the agency so he could have more control and to have quicker turn around time on the day-to-day decisions that effect how business is provided to the clients.

L. A. Bowen Insurance Agency is continually looking for ways to better service our clients and to offer them more choices and options that will suite their needs. Recently L. A. Bowen Insurance Agency partnered with Bear River Insurance, a premier personal lines insurance company in the state of Utah and we are proud to have partnered with them. We are currently in the process of seeking other partnership with other markets, like Acuity Insurance, to bring more choices to you.

One reason why L. A. Bowen Insurance has been so active at seeking partnerships with different Insurance Companies is so we can provide multiple options for our clients needs and because we realize not one company can be the best at everything. We also know that insurance premiums/rates change and these are tough economical times and everyone’s budget has been stretched, so to help our clients we take a proactive approach at reviewing our clients’ policies and confirming they are getting the best rate that money can buy.
